New Hands-On Training Courses for the Do It Yourselfer

We understand what it is like to starting out and need to get everything in place yesterday.  It’s exciting and unbelievably stressful at the same time and, money is always tight, especially when your in the start-up phase.  Hopefully we can help you out and provide some advise on the details that never seem to be mentioned anywhere.

The first course we will be offering will be a complete implementation of QuickBooks Online and Vend Point of sale.  Each of these applications have so much to offer a small retailer, and will not cost you thousands of dollars to setup.  Some of the topics we will go over in detail will include –

  • Review of your reporting needs and formation of your chart of accounts.
  • Sales tax issues to consider.
  • How to set up your products (variants, etc).
  • Payment options.
  • Detailed setup of each application.
  • How to fine tune the integration.
  • Workflow and procedural issues to consider.
  • Day to day operations, including nightly closing and account reconciliations.

Once the basics are in place and we’re up and running, we will continue our course by adding in ecommerce options such as Shopify and WooCommerce. Then we’ll expand our system with inventory/order management packages, sales tax automation, and advanced reporting features. In the end, we will hopefully have a feature-rich business system ready to grow with you, and not a Bride of Frankenstein.

We love getting our hands dirty and pushing software to it’s limits.  You never know how far you can go until you break something, and then you can decide if the software you were hoping to use is going to be the best fit for you.
